Magdalena Mittermeier currently works at the Department of Geography, Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich as a teacher and PhD student. Magdalena does research in synoptic climatology and studies climate change impacts on hydro-meteorological extremes. In this regard, she works with single model large ensembles and deep learning. She is involved in the research project ClimEx by Prof. Ralf Ludwig, which focuses on natural variability of hydrometeorological extreme events and the implications for water management in the study areas of Bavaria and Québec (Canada). In the course of ClimEx, Magdalena carried out two research stays at the research consortium Ouranos in Montréal.
